FAQs

  • How do I get to the Etihad stadium?

If you have just bought a ticket to a Manchester City football game and are unsure how to get there, here are a few options:

    By tram:

Manchester City's stadium, the Etihad Stadium, is well-connected by public transportation. You can consider using the Metrolink tram system, which has a dedicated stop called Etihad Campus, located just a short walk away from the stadium.

    By bus:

Alternatively, you can use local buses that serve the area. Check the schedules and routes of public transportation in Manchester to plan your journey.

    By car:

If you prefer to drive, you can use a navigation app or map to get directions to the Etihad Stadium. The stadium is located in the east of Manchester and can be easily accessed from major roads and motorways. Keep in mind that matchday traffic and parking can be busy, so it's advisable to arrive early and plan your parking options in advance.

    By taxi:

Booking a taxi or using ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft is another convenient option. You can arrange for a pickup at your location, and the driver can drop you off near the stadium. After the match, you can find designated pick-up points or use the app to request a ride back.

    Walking or Cycling:

If you are staying in the vicinity of the stadium or in central Manchester, you may consider walking or cycling to the Etihad Stadium, depending on the distance. There are pedestrian and cycling paths that lead to the stadium, making it a viable option for those who prefer an active commute.

Remember to check the kick-off time of the match and plan your journey accordingly, allowing enough time for any potential delays or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Whats the dress code for Man City hospitality?

It's generally recommended to dress smartly and in line with a business casual attire. Here are some guidelines to help you out:

    For Men:

Opt for trousers or dress pants, paired with a collared shirt or polo shirt.

You can also consider wearing a blazer or a sports jacket to add a touch of sophistication.

It's best to avoid wearing jeans, shorts, t-shirts, or clothing with offensive or rival team logos.

    For Women:

Choose dress pants, skirts, or dresses that are appropriate in length.

Pair them with a blouse, a stylish top, or a smart-casual sweater.

Avoid wearing overly revealing or inappropriate attire.

It's worth noting that specific VIP areas might have their own dress code requirements, so it's advisable to double-check any instructions or recommendations provided by the ticket seller or the hospitality team. They may provide additional guidelines or restrictions based on the specific area you'll be accessing.

In any case, it's always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed for VIP events.

  • Are there any age restrictions for the hospitality packages?

No, there are no age restrictions for VIP experiences at Man City.

  • Can I purchase Manchester City VIP tickets for away matches?

Unfortunately not. You can purchase a VIP ticket for the Home team but you will therefore be sat in the Home end, where you are encouraged to not where away colours and to be respectful of the Home fans around you.

  • What are Man City hospitality package prices like?

Hospitality and corporate ticket prices are subject to change throughout the season but are mostly dependent on the opponent. Games against rival teams such as Man Utd & Arsenal inevitably come at a greater price. At time of writing, our cheapest hospitality ticket prices are £599, with most expensive tickets priced at £999.

  • How can I find the cheapest Manchester City hospitality tickets?

For the cheapest Man City hospitality or corporate packages you should consider two things:

Choosing a match where the stakes are lower. Any Premier League match at The Etihad has the prospect for high entertainment, with some of the sports greatest players on show. Choosing a game against bottom half opponents will typically cost you less. For example, at time of writing, Man City vs Crystal Palace is priced £400 cheaper than Man City vs Man Utd, at £599.

Choosing a less premium package. There are a range of hospitality packages available at The Etihad stadium, as listed above. Private boxes are typically more expensive than VIP lounges. You can request any hospitality experience through our contact form.

  • When do Man City season tickets go on sale?

Manchester City season tickets usually go on sale toward the end of the EPL season. For example, season tickets for the 2023/24 season went on sale from March 30 to May 24.

History of Manchester City FC

Manchester City Football Club, commonly known as Man City, was founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton). The club later changed its name to Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 before finally becoming Manchester City in 1894.

In its early years, Manchester City played in the lower divisions of English football. However, the club achieved its first major success by winning the FA Cup in 1904, defeating Bolton Wanderers in the final. Manchester City won the FA Cup again in 1934 and secured their first-ever league title in the 1936-1937 season.

Following their success in the mid-20th century, Manchester City faced a period of decline and financial difficulties, which led to relegation to the third tier of English football. The club experienced several promotions and relegations in subsequent years.

In 2008, Manchester City underwent a significant transformation when the club was purchased by the Abu Dhabi United Group, which injected substantial financial resources into the club. This investment marked the beginning of a new era for Manchester City, characterized by significant player acquisitions and infrastructure development.

Under the ownership of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Manchester City experienced unprecedented success. The club won their first Premier League title in the 2011-2012 season in dramatic fashion, clinching the title on the final day with a goal in stoppage time. They followed this up with further success, winning additional Premier League titles in 2013-2014, 2017-2018, 2018-2019, and 2020-2021.

Manchester City has also enjoyed success in domestic cup competitions, winning the FA Cup in 2011, 2019, and 2020, and the League Cup multiple times. The club has established itself as a dominant force in English football, regularly competing for major honors and consistently finishing at the top end of the Premier League.

Manchester City has achieved success on the European stage. The club reached the UEFA Champions League final for the first time in their history in the 2020/21 season but narrowly missed out on the title, finishing as runners-up. They later went on to win the cup in the 2022/23 season, beating Inter Milan in the final.

Throughout its history, Manchester City has had its fair share of iconic players, including Colin Bell, Mike Summerbee, Francis Lee, David Silva, and Sergio Agüero, who became the club's all-time leading goalscorer.

With its remarkable rise and sustained success in recent years, Manchester City has solidified its position among the top clubs in English and European football, making a lasting impact on the history and legacy of the club.
