Kyle Walker discusses his role in the side and Ilkay Gundogan says City are now better placed to win the Champions League…it’s time for this morning’s review of the back pages.
Let’s start with Kyle Walker, who has told the Manchester Evening News his role has been altered somewhat this season as Pep Guardiola continues to fine-tune City's tactical approach.
“My role is a little bit different, where I am tucking in a little bit more and trying to control people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ilkay Gundogan has told German title WAZ that he dreams of winning the Champions League with City.
And the midfielder believes the team’s increasing maturity means we are in a strong position going into this year’s competition.
"I dream of winning the Champions League title with Manchester City and a title with Germany," he said.
"In Manchester last season we had the feeling that we are ready for it. It was not enough. This year nothing has changed in this feeling.
"I believe that we are even a bit more mature. We have the potential to become Champions League winners."
