Thirteen Real Madrid players have been called up to represent their national teams in the first international matches of the new season. Ramos, Nacho, Carvajal, Isco, Asensio, Ceballos, Varane, Courtois, Kroos, Modric and Bale will play the new UEFA competition, the Nations League. Casemiro and Valverde will take part in friendlies.

Gareth Bale has been in great form at the start of the season and will lead the Welsh team after being called up by Ryan Giggs. Wales will play against Ireland and Denmark in their opening matches of the new UEFA competition.
