Real Madrid become first La Liga side to reach 4,500 points

Real Madrid became the first team in Spain's top fligth to reach 4,500 points with their 4-2 with their 4-2 win at Espanyol on Sunday. They have won 1,681 games in La Liga now, drawing 565 and losing 575.

Madrid lead Barcelona, who are second in the standings with 96 points less. They have both played 2,821 games in the league. Barça have 4,404 points, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Athletic Club complete the top five.
