Barça have officially confirmed Carles Perez's move to AS Roma this morning. The La Masia graduate, who has failed to establish himself in the first team under Ernesto Valverde and Quique Setien, will initially join the Italian side on loan. That part of the transfer will cost €1m.
However, Roma have an obligation to make the transfer permanent for €11m in the summer with a further €3.5m to be paid depending on the player and team's achievements. Barça don't have a buy-back clause but do hold the first refusal should Roma decide to sell him in the future.
After making 13 appearances for Barça's first team, this is the club's statement on his departure: "FC Barcelona would like to publicly thank Carles Perez for his effort and dedication and wish him the best of luck and all the success in the future."
