FC Barcelona will face Valencia over two legs in the semi-final for a place in this season’s final. The first leg will take place at Camp Nou on Wednesday 31 January or Thursday 1 February with the return to come on 7 or 8 February at Mestalla. The teams have already met this season in the league when the game ended 1-1 at Mestalla, Jordi Alba scoring for the blaugranes.

After the draw, captain Andrés Iniesta gave his reaction: “We will try to put in two complete performances but in the end we know little details could decide the tie. We want to be back in the final, we have won the last three and we want to win to be there again.”
