The stunning clash between Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club de Bilbao (both winners in their respective Europa League fixtures last Thursday) looks like the estelar match of LaLiga 24th. Round which starts on Friday.
As always Footy Legend takes you to this spectacular confrontation in the Wanda Metropolitano from Madrid. Check out the European winning inertia of both teams:
Atletico get the job done in the first leg
Copenhagen provided an early scare for Atletico Madrid on Thursday night but the visitors came away from Parken Stadium with a 4-1 first leg lead for their Europa League round of 32 meeting.
Reserve goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya was comfortably beaten by Viktor Fischer's early deflected effort and yet Atleti were behind for barely five minutes as Saul Niguez headed in Antoine Griezmann's teasing cross.
A lovely move then put Los Colchoneros ahead, Lucas Hernandez combining with Griezmann with a cute backheel through the legs of a defender teeing up the Frenchman for a cross to Kevin Gameiro, who made no mistake.
Griezmann made the result on the night safe with a calm finish after 70 minutes before Vitolo got in on the action, firing a low shot that beat Robin Olsen too easily to all but book Atletico's place in the last-16.
Aduriz stars as Athletic Club take decisive first leg lead
Aritz Aduriz became the Europa League's top scorer for the season so far with a timely brace away to Spartak Moscow in Athletic Club's Round of 32 first win on Thursday.
Making the long journey to Russia is often hazardous for any away team but the veteran forward pounced on Raul Garcia's through ball after 22 minutes to show pace beyond his years, round the keeper, and make it 1-0.
A deflected free-kick then fell to Aduriz for a simple second, his seventh in the competition for 2017/18, before Spartak were all at sea when defending in first half stoppage time, the ball eventually being slammed home by Mikel Rico.
Luiz Adriano rescued a goal back to make it 3-1 ahead of the return in Bilbao on February 22, with the impetus firmly on the Spaniards' side.
