Ajax and Dusan Tadic extend contract

Ajax and Dusan Tadic have reached an agreement to extend his contract, which had been valid until June 30, 2022.  The Serbian player’s new contract has been extended by one year, until June 30, 2023.

Tadic was born on November 20, 1988, in Bačka Topola, Yugoslavia.  The attacking midfielder and forward came over from Southampton, England, last season.  On July 24, 2018, he made his debut in the Ajax - Sturm Graz (2-0) second round qualifying match for the UEFA Champions League.

Eredivisie’s co-top scorer last season
The 30 year-old forward has played in 50 official games to date in Ajax’s first team, and has scored 36 goals.  The former FC Groningen and FC Twente player was the Eredivisie’s co-top scorer last season.

It has been agreed that Tadic will remain connected to Ajax after 2023 as well.  He will focus on coaching at theToekomst sports complex until at least mid-2026.  The specifics of this will be determined at a later stage.
