Yayá Touré reveals what Lionel Messi is really like as a teammate

Former FC Barcelona midfielder Yayá Touré has explained what the real Lionel Messi is like. The two shared a dressing room at the Camp Nou before he decided to join Manchester City. Last week he was a commentator during Barça's Champions League match against Manchester United. He said this about little Leo: "He's different, he's special. He's the perfect teammate and it's so much fun playing alongside him."

"Whenever he's given the ball, he always has three or four players around him. But it's still difficult to get the ball off him," the midfielder explained. "Messi is on another level. He's always above everybody else."

The 35-year-old midfielder insists that Messi "didn't usually talk much" during their time together. "He was always focused on football. He was the perfect teammate for any player. Yeah, he's a little different. There aren't many like him," concluded Toure.
