Simeone reacted to Tuesday’s 1-0 win against Liverpool at the Wanda Metropolitano.
“We did a great job as a team. Liverpool are a very powerful side. The fans and the team were one. We started very well and found a goal, and then we understood that we could defend well regardless of where the match took us. This is one of those nights that you never forget, beating the best team in the world,” our coach said.
Saúl, who scored the winner, also spoke after the clash.
“Hard work, persistence and always believing earned us this win. We scored early and then we did a great job. We earned a very big win,” the Spaniard said.
