Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez has been picked for the game. He has grown as a referee since being made an international official in January 2018. He has reached the elite UEFA category now and officiated three of the past four Clasicos - the two in the league and one in the Copa del Rey semi. He has also refereed Barca v Valencia, in February 2018.
