Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is Zinedine Zidane's primary target to reinforce Real Madrid's attack this summer.
The Frenchman is fond of the Senegal international's skills, with the LiverpoolNo.10 playing a key role in the Reds' victory away at Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16.
Zidane has highlighted Mane's name in his transfer wish list, MARCA have learned.
After moving from Southampton for a 41.2 million euro fee, Mane has scored 53 goals and assisted another 21 in 111 games for Liverpool.
France Football reported that Madrid had reached an agreement with him last summer, but the deal didn't go through due to Zidane's departure.
The 26-year-old has accumulated 20 goals this season - 17 of which in the Premier League - and he has been praised for his skills, speed and power.
Transfermarkt value him at 85 million euros, but Liverpool have recently sold Philippe Coutinho for 150m euros to Barcelona and will be keen to make more yet profit from a potential Mane departure.
Following his recent superb performances, Jurgen Klopp hailed the player's work ethic.
"Sadio almost always played like that, but now he's in the right place at the right time," he noted.
"The only thing he did when he wasn't [in his best form] was to always work, work and work."
Zidane has followed Mane's progress and the forward's simple and direct game is what he seeks for his new Real Madrid team.
