Real Madrid overcame Granada at the Nuevo Los Cármenes and at the full-time whistle, Sergio Ramos reflected on the team's performance: "We can't let up, we haven't won anything yet and we've got to retain that hunger to win LaLiga. We're now a step closer, but there are still points to play for. Our destiny is in our own hands against Villarreal and we're going to try and win all of our remaining games, which was our target. Let's hope that we can celebrate winning this LaLiga title. The team really deserves to be up there and the results speak for themselves".
"You unconsciously make the mistake of letting your guard down and the intensity wanes after being in front and instead of going in search of that third goal, we perhaps settled for the result and if you don't retain your focus up for the 90 minutes, you won't beat anyone. We have to use this to make us think and continue to learn for the future. Although we got the win, there are errors that you simply can't make, like ending up conceding after having gone so many games without doing so".
Tempo & excellent standards
"Every team makes that mistake. There are things we've got to keep working on so that they don't happen again, but it's inevitable. You see the win up there on the scoreboard and that's the mistake. If you could keep the same tempo up for the whole 90 minutes we'd have won every game but you can't do that. The standards are immense and there's increasingly more parity between the teams".
"It would mean a great deal. The league title is the reward for consistency, determination and the work put in throughout the whole year".
"The lockdown did us good in terms of reacting and taking the run-in really seriously. We prepared very well for those two months at home and when we came back we had that objective of winning the league and we are in the fight for it. Hopefully we can celebrate on Thursday".
Courtois: "We have two more cup finals to go and we have to win them"
"Winning the nine matches after the break says a lot because it's not easy to play at difficult grounds like La Real, Athletic, Espanyol... They are teams that were playing for something and it's not easy. Today Granada have given everything and in the first half we played well and scored two goals, in the second half we didn't start well and conceded a goal, but we knew how to dig in and that's important. It's a good win and I hope we can finish the job off at our own stadium".
Save in the 35th minute
"Knowing I can't go out and get the ball, I use my height and my reflexes to make an important stop. At the beginning of the first half I also clear a dangerous ball with my fist, which if I didn't get, I think the striker could have converted it. I always try to help the team".
Second half and message from Zidane
"He told us that we had to keep possession better and use the speed of Rodrygo and Asensio, but Granada really pushed us and made it difficult. We have experience and know we need to keep our heads. We need to be focused and at our best and we've managed to do that, as demonstrated by my save and other dangerous moves in the penalty area that we've managed to handle well. It was a great team effort in the second half. It wasn't our best football, but you have to know how to dig deep sometimes to win.
" A lot of people think that because we're Real Madrid, we win every game, but it's not easy. At difficult grounds anything can happen. In LaLiga there is a lot of quality, a lot of teams play well. The matches are difficult and you don't always win, but we have done. We have two more cup finals left and we have to win them".
