Nightmare déjà vu for Tottenham: Kane injures ankle again

familiar nightmare has come back to haunt Tottenham Hotspur again, as Harry Kane has picked up another ankle injury.

Just 12 minutes into Thursday's clash with Liverpool, the English striker took a knock to his right ankle in a challenge by Thiago Alcantara.

After being seen to twice, Kane was able to see out the first half, but he didn't reappear for the second.

The 27-year-old must think his ankles are cursed as this is now the seventh such injury he has suffered in his career.

Jose Mourinho will be hoping that this time around the situation isn't as serious as it was in 2018/19, when Kane's ankle injury in the Champions League quarter-final - his second of the season - kept him out until the final, where he looked far from his best.

The severity this time around is yet to be confirmed, but losing the England international would be a big blow to Mourinho ahead of the second half of the season.
