Manchester City are closing in on the signing of one of South America's most promising talents in 18-year-old Thiago Almada.
The Velez Sarsfield forward was one of the revelations of the Superliga Argentina last campaign where he scored three times in 16 league appearances.
Impressed with his abilities and potential, Manchester City are looking to secure his services amid interest from around Europe.
According to The Sun, the Premier League champions are preparing a bid of just over 17 million euros and are confident that Almada will choose the Etihad Stadium as his new home should other sides make a similar offer.
Almada formed part of the Argentina squad which took part in the 2019 South American U20 Championship but was not chosen for the U20 World Cup in Poland.
