In spite of Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Athletic Club, Lucas Vázquez showed his optimism about Real Madrid's chances in front of Bundesliga champions Bayern München when they clash for this season's UEFA Champions League Semi-finals.
"It is true that we have been thinking of the Bayern match, but not while playing. Now we have the whole week to prepare it. We are in a good moment of form, we feel confident and we are performing well.
For the third consecutive fixture (Atlético de Madrid and Athletic Club Bilbao at LaLiga and Juventus at the Champions League), the Blancos were not able to find the victory at the Bernabéu and they will only have one more test as locals before meeting Jupp Heynckes' formation in the Champions League Semi-final second leg.
"This tie gives us a bittersweet sensation. We did a great game".
"They scored the opener and then backed off. We had chances, but we were not accurate. That's the truth".
Zidane's team won't play their fixture of this weekend against Sevilla due to the Copa del Rey Final disputed by the Andalusian team against Barcelona. It will be next Wednesday when they face the first leg at Munich against the Bavarian side in a Semi-final stage which will be ended on May 1st. and previously divided by LaLiga Round 35 fixture against Leganés.
