Ligue 1 Matchweek 24 report: PSG ease to victory in Le Classique (0-2)

The speed and power of Paris Saint-Germain's attack was too much for Marseille as their crisis was made even worse in Le Classique on Sunday night.

It took Kylian Mbappe just nine minutes to sprint from one end of the field to the other to convert at the end of a rapid counter attack and give the Parisians the lead.

Angel di Maria was lost to injury in a concerning update for Mauricio Pochettino, who also had Neymar on the bench after he missed training on Saturday due to illness.

Mauro Icardi started in attack in his place and his header floated over everyone and in at the far post to make PSG's lead more convincing after 25 minutes.

The night went from bad to worse for Marseille as Dmitri Payet was sent off late on for a high foot on Marco Verratti.

The result leaves PSG three points off league leaders Lille, while Marseille are now seven games without a win.
