Jan Oblak receives 2017-2018 Zamora Trophy

Jan Oblak on Monday collected the 2017-2018 Zamora Trophy at the Convent dels Àngels in Barcelona. The award, presented by newspaper Marca, distinguishes the league's goalkeeper with the lowest "goals-to-game" ratio.

The Slovenian shot-stopper played 37 LaLiga matches last season and conceded just 22 goals (0.59 per game).

Oblak is the first goalkeeper in our club's history to win the trophy three times in a row. Our keeper also reached 100 clean sheets with the Atleti shirt on Tuesday's Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund. Truly remarkable numbers.

The Slovenian dedicated the award to his teammates while collecting the trophy: "I've been working all my life for this and continue to do so. This award is also thanks to the team, because they've helped me a lot. I'd like to thank my teammates, coaching staff and fans for their help," Oblak said.

It was the 12th time that an Atleti goalkeeper concedes the least amount of goals in the league, after Fernando Tabales (39-40), Marcel Domingo (48-49), Luis Menéndez (53-54), Rodri (70-71), Miguel Reina (76-77), Abel Resino (90-91), José Francisco Molina (95-96), Thibaut Courtois (12-13 and 13-14) and Jan Oblak (15-16, 16-17 and 17-18).
