How Real Madrid can make it to the last 16 of the Champions League

Casemiro's equalising goal late into stoppage time away at Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday night took Real Madrid out of the ICU. Now, there are four matches remaining in the Champions League group stage, and Los Blancos find themselves bottom on one point.

Real Madrid are determined to reach the last 16 of the competition, but in order to do this they will have to pick up at least 10 points from a possible 12.

With three wins and one defeat - nine points - they could also advance, although they would then be reliant on other results.

A defeat in Germany would have left Zinedine Zidane's side on the brink of elimination. Only by winning all four of their remaining games would they have been able to reach the last 16.

Real Madrid will host Inter and Gladbach at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, while they will also have to face Inter and Shakhtar Donetsk away from home.
