Granada suffers defeat against Real Sociedad with a 2-0 at Reale Arena
Granada on Sunday lost to Real on an away defeat at Reale Arena. Real Sociedad went into the match knowing victory after winning their previous two matches against Celta away and Huesca at home stadium, by 1-4 and 4-1 respectively while Granada scored a 1 draw against Levante, adding a point in the last match played of the competition. Following today's result, Real Sociedad is 1st in the LaLiga table with 20 points from 9 matches, while Granada sits 5th with 14 points after 9 matches.
Good start of the game for Real Sociedad, with a goal from Nacho Monreal in the 22nd minute. Later, Real Sociedad scored again and increased their lead 2-0 thanks to a goal from Mikel Oyarzabal 27 minutes in the game, thereby seeing the first half to a 2-0.
There were no goals during the second half but the match ended on a 2-0 win.
For Real, Jon Guridi, Igor Zubeldia, Portu, Martin Merquelanz and Aihen Munoz came on for Roberto Soldado, Robert Kenedy, Ismael Ruiz Sanchezand Jorge Molina, while Granada brought on Dani Plomer, Kingsley Fobi, Juan Ignacio Brunet Bordin and Alvaro Bravo to replace Roberto Soldado, Robert Kenedy, Ismael Ruiz Sanchez and Jorge Molina.
The referee booked Mikel Merino and David Silva from Real and Robin Le Normand saw the red card, while for Granada Sergio Barcia saw a yellow card as well.
Real Sociedad with their next fixture against Cádiz at away stadium, while Granada will face Real Valladolid at home stadium.
