Diego Godín spoke about the 0-0 draw in Madrid Derby.
“In the first part, we did better. We made a great first half,” Godín said. “We had two hand-to-hand, several shots from outside the area and we deserved the goal. In the second half, they pushed harder and Jan saved a goal. It was a very even game.”
Godín recognized the team's physical waste during the ninety minutes.
"We made a lot of wear in the first half because we pressed all over the field and in the second half we tried to go out on the fast-break and it cost us a little bit more. It was a great game.”
Godin said Atlético has grown in the first few weeks of the season.
"We've improved both without the ball and with the ball. Football is about having a great defense and being strong without the ball. We have to be strong in attack, attack and be decisive," he highlighted that "It's important to get points on a difficult stadium."
