FIFA Club World Cup quarter-finals report: Al Ahly to face Bayern Munich in semi finals after victory against Al-Duhail (0-1)

Hussain El Shahat's first half strike handed Al Ahly a narrow win over Al-Duhail in the Club World Cup quarter finals on Thursday, which sets up a semi against European champions Bayern Munich.

The Egyptian champions were superior in the opening 45 minutes, and managed to hold in with a disciplined second half display to enter the final four in Qatar.

The winner came through El Shahat on 30 minutes after winning the ball on the edge of the box before unleashing a strike that got the better of Hassan Moussa.

Six minutes later, Al Ahly had the ball in the back of the net again, this time through Walter Bwalya, but it was ruled out by VAR for offside.

Nevertheless, just one goal was enough, and Al Ahly will now face the Champions League holders on Monday.
