From the Champions League straight back into the Champions League for Eden Hazard as the Real Madrid man could make his return to the side for the first time in 81 days, when he last played for Los Blancos against Manchester City on August 7.
Hazard's situation has developed quickly over the last few hours, with his trip to Germany also relatively unexpected, Zinedine Zidane made it clear on Tuesday that the reason he the Belgian has travelled is because he is able to play.
As a result, we could see Hazard lining up in the tunnel at Borussia Park as he looks to play his first game of the season against Borussia Monchengladbach.
After the Clasico triumph over Barcelona, that is the second piece of good news for Real Madrid this week, and something Zidane awaits with open arms as his team need to solve their problems in attack more than ever.
Real Madrid need Hazard to shine, and the first thing that needs done is that he get consistent first team appearances in order to put the injury nightmare, which has plagued his time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, behind him.
That was of course Hazard's intention since his second season with Real Madrid began, but things soon went awry. First, his return to pre-season was not as expected and he wasn't in a position to compete for a place in the team ahead of the LaLiga Santander start.
Then, in the final stretch of the lead up to his inclusion, he suffered a muscle injury which has kept him out of action since September 30. During that time, Real Madrid had to forget about their star player.
Now Hazard is back and aiming to get up to speed and closer to the level he was playing at last November against Paris Saint-Germain. The Belgian was at his best when an injury to his right ankle struck, and nothing has been the same since as he tiptoed through the season.
