DFB Pokal Round of 16 report: Haaland on hand to send Dortmund through in chaotic tie against SC Paderborn (2-2; 3-2 a.e.t.)

Borussia Dortmund needed extra time to get past Paderborn in the third round of the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday evening.

Erling Haaland scored the winning goal in a 3-2 triumph, after Emre Can and Jadon Sancho's early goals had been cancelled out by a late Paderborn comeback.

With Dortmund leading 2-1 in the 90th minute, Paderborn wanted a penalty that wasn't given. Dortmund counterattacked and Haaland scored, making it 3-1.

But VAR intervened, his goal was chalked off and the visitors were given a penalty, which they scored, seeing the score go from 3-1 to 2-2.

The Norwegian did get his goal five minutes into extra time through, sending Dortmund through.
