Debuts are imminent for Mariano, Odriozola and Vinicius

Real Madrid have a busy schedule as they return from the international break and Julen Lopetegui will have to dish out some rest at certain points, making the most of his squad depth.

As such, summer arrivals Mariano Diaz, Alvaro Odriozola and Vinicius Juniorcould all make their first-team debuts in the very near future.

In the case of Mariano, it will be a re-debut, with the striker having returned to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu following an impressive 2017/18 at Lyon.

He arrived towards the end of the transfer window, which is why he hasn't played yet, even if he was included in the squad for the Leganes game.

Having not been away on international duty, Mariano will have had two weeks of intense work with Lopetegui under his belt when Real Madrid visit Bilbao this weekend and he is expected to make his debut in that match.

The case of Odriozola is a curious one, as he was signed early on in the summer, but has not yet been able to take a single minute away from the undisputed right-back starter Dani Carvajal.

That's partly because the former Real Sociedad player had an injury and partly because of how good Carvajal has been, but Odriozola will be needed at some point soon as Athletic Club, Roma, Espanyol, Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, CSKA Moscow and Alaves are all on the horizon.

As for Vinicius Junior, he has debuted in a sense as he has been playing with Castilla, the B team, but he has not yet made an appearance for the first team in an official match.

He'll surely be used soon, though, and Lopetegui will introduce him to the fanbase when he feels the time is right.
