Bundesliga Matchweek 20report: Bayern Munich win again, even with Lewandowski missing a penalty (0-1)

Bayern Munich extended their commanding lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to 10 points with a 1-0 victory over Hertha Berlin on Friday evening.

At a snowy Olympiastadion in the German capital, the European champions were awarded an early penalty after Rune Jarstein brought down Leroy Sane.

Hertha's goalkeeper redeemed himself, though, producing a superb, low save to keep out Robert Lewandowski's spot kick.

Unfortunately for Jarstein, his resolve was broken shortly afterwards when Kingsley Coman's strike from the edge of the box deflected off Niklas Stark and looped into the back of the net.

The hosts pushed for an equaliser towards the end of the second half, with Matheus Cunha unable to divert a late chipped effort on target.

Bayern are now 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, with second place RB Leipzig travelling to Schalke on Saturday.
