Barça's fourth defeat of season leaves them 12 points off Atletico
Cádiz beat Barça with a thumping 2-1 victory on Saturday at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Cádiz wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Elche. Barcelona, on the other hand, were looking to extend their winning run after a 4-0 victory against Osasuna. As the table looks today, Cádiz are in 5th place on the table and has 18 points while Barcelona sit in 7th with 14 points after 12 matches.
Cádiz dominated the first half, following Alvaro Gimenez opening the scoring in the 8th minute. The score at half time was 1-0.
Barcelona took the initiative in the second half, beginning with Pedro Alcala opening the scoring, 57 minutes in. However, Cádiz in the 63rd minute found the back of the net via a Alvaro Negredo goal. The game ended with a 2-1 victory for Cádiz.
For Cádiz Pedro Alcala, Alvaro Negredo, Augusto Fernandez, Bobby Adekanye and Ivan Alejo came on for Marcos Mauro, Alvaro Gimenez, Jens Jonsson, Alberto Perea and Jairo Izquierdo, while Barça replaced Pedri, Ousmane Dembele, Trincao and Miralem Pjanic with Oscar Mingueza, Philippe Coutinho, Sergino Dest and Sergio Busquets.
The referee booked Clement Lenglet and Jordi Alba for Barcelona.
Cádiz will next travel to Celta, while Barcelona will face Levante at home.
