Sergio Agüero’s hat-trick saw him leapfrog Robin van Persie and move into tenth on the list of all-time leading Premier League goalscorers.
Incidentally, his nine Premier League hat-tricks is equal with former City striker Robbie Fowler and only bettered by the great Alan Shearer, who managed 11.
Huddersfield simply couldn’t handle his pace and movement. In fact, Aguero may feel disappointed he didn’t manage a couple more.
He now has 14 goals in his last eight league appearances at the Etihad. He’s in frighteningly good form and, as Pep Guardiola said afterwards, his condition is as good as it’s ever been.
Could this be his most prolific campaign yet?
